Art is utterly USELESS because SOMEONE has done the job
for me!
Art is non-essential. Every morning I wake up and go to the toilet,
someone has already designed the toilet bowl. When I brush my teeth, someone
has designed the toothbrush, and someone has designed the case of the toothpaste
nicely. When I prepare my breakfast, someone has designed the toaster, cups,
glasses, and every single kitchen utensil. When I prepare to go out, someone
has designed my clothes. I take out my shoes and socks, someone has designed
them. I walk to the bus stop, someone has designed it nicely too. I get on the
bus, someone has designed the seats and space. I reach my workspace, someone
has designed the furniture. I work with a laptop, answer questions with my handphone,
someone has designed them. It is lunchtime. I walk to the hawker center,
someone has designed the table and chairs there so I just have to sit down and take
my lunch. Someone has designed all the cups and plates too. When I complete my
day of work and reach home, someone has designed my space, furniture, and every
single item in my house. When I am ready to go to bed, someone has designed my
bed and pillows. I switch on my nice aircon, someone has designed it. I normally
sleep well and have sweet dreams because I don’t have to struggle and work like
an artist who does all the non-essential work.
